When should you visit Poland?

The tourist season begins in May and lasts until September. If you want to visit Poland in its warm months, you have to go in May or June. It is the best time to enjoy the Polish coast. If you are fond of skiing and want to go to the mountain resorts, the best time for this sport is from December to March.

The Polish Climate

The climate is maritime and continental, depending on the region. In summer the temperatures are high, but you can be prepared for the rain. The maximum average temperature in the warm season is 32 C degrees and the minimal winter temperatures can decrease to -20 degrees C. Because of the temperature variations is good to pack thin and warm clothes as well.

Accommodation in Poland

Poland offers a wide range of accommodation options. The lowest prices you can find in hostels. Campsites are another option, but this type of areas offer decent conditions. There are rooms rented by locals, villas, self catering apartments, and luxury hotels. A hostel room in Katowice is around 8 to 15 euros per night depending on the time period.

A holiday in Poland includes a wide range of activities that can satisfy the most diverse tastes: horse riding, paragliding, kayaking, sailing, skiing, fishing, biking, hunting and many others. There are also spas, many of them being in southern Poland. The Natural Parks have spectacular scenery with mountains, rivers and some rare species of animals.

Some of the most popular cities for tourists in Poland are Krakow, Katowice, Gdynia, Gdansk, and Zakopane. The most important beaches are located on the Baltic Sea coast near Gdansk. Water sports are practiced here, but also on the Great Lakes as the Zarnowieckie.
