Lakes Vacationing in Autumn II

Lake NiegocinNature lovers, boaters as well as anglers will also enjoy their time spent here on Lake Jeziorak (Jezioro Jeziorak). Located in the Warmia-Masuria of Poland, this longest lake and the sixth biggest in Poland, Lake Jeziorak offers many attractions. Charming neighborhoods, bays, nooks and villages are worth spending many long hours. It is also a great place for sailing. Lake Niegocin or locally known as Jezioro Niegocin is located on the Big Lakes Trail. It is connected to Lake Kisajno as well as Lake Tajty. You can cruise on it or check out the small lake which still has not been named. With a length of 7.2 meters, the area of this lake is 2600 hectares! Its maximum depth is about 39 meters though on the average, is only 9.9 meters. Other activity on this lake is canoeing. The canoeing trail through the touristic resort called Rydezewo, sailing or getting to Gizycko by a motor boat can generate some good fun. If you enjoy sports, you may consider Rydzewo which offers great conditions for angling as well. Whether it is yacht rental or marina, Rydzewo is a great place to enjoy what nature has to offer as it is surround by lakes and its south mainly forests of pine and spruces. You may want to explore the area in a carriage or independently on a horse. Hiking, cycling are also possible as there are marked out routes. Then check out the 15th century church in Milki, which is the oldest church of Mazury and Warmia. The other attractions are Boyen Fortress in Gizycko, the Wilczy szaniec in Ketrzyn, the Teutonic Castle and the village called Swieta Lipka.

Lake Jamno and Lake Gardno

For learning to windsurf and sailing, there is a school in Lake Jamno (Jezioro Jamno). Anglers also like this lake other than Bukowo. You many also do arrow kayak other than windsurfing. On Lake Gardno or Jezioro Gardno, located on the coast of Slowinski, it is popular amongst boaters and anglers, as well as windsurfers. All of them love this place for the serenity and nature.

 

Lake Wigry

Lake WigryIn the forests of Augustow Wilderness, Lake Wigry has many small and big islands on it. There is a famous canoe trail along which you can find the Czarna Hancza River which is the largest river of the north-eastern part of Poland. The two other lakes are Lake Goplo (Jezioro Gopło) and Lake Drawsko (Jezioro Drawsko). Lake Goplo is in the north-central while Lake Drawsko is in the north-west of Poland.
