Shopping in Warsaw



There are many shopping opportunities in Poland, and within the capital Warsaw, there is the Arkadia, C.H. Panorama, Blue City, Galeria Mokotow, Likus Concept Store and Sadyba Best Mall, to name a few. Arkadia is the biggest shopping mall in Central Europe with five floors of everything you need. The number of people who visit each day might shocked you. Boasting of at least 45,000 be it real buyers or just window-shoppers, you can find big names like Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Peek & Cloppenburg, Esprit, Zara and even Kappahl. If you like electronics goods, an entire giant Saturn store offers DVDs to sound systems, any electronic goods you can name of.

Ground floor stands Carrefour for groceries and such. Crowded with expats is Mark & Spencers, and the Kuchnie ?wiata where there is even Cadburys Chocolate. There is a 15-screen multiplex for entertainment and many restaurants as well. Very easily accessible by public trams and buses.

Blue City

The first mega mall of Poland, Blue city has a 26 meters fountain smacked right in the center of Warsaw. Positioned under a giant glass dome, the fountain is quite amazing. Specialist food stores like expat goodies store Piotr I Pawel, Asian House and La Passion Du Vin. In Poland, EMPiK is the place to look for English books, ‘Home City’ of thirty stores of anything related to house and home. You can also find a skate park, an Inca playarea, a mini-funfair with theme like Treasure Island.

Galeria Mokotow

Not as big as Arkadia and Blue City, but here you can find clothes branded stores like Trussardi, Calvin Klein, Versace and high street chains like Deni Cler, River Island and the much known Mango. Entertainment center is on the top floor where you can do bowling, watch movies at the multiplex cinema and eat in a food court.

This is a leading designer brand retailer and it is special as it is firstly, housed in a 19th century bath house, so you get to shop sensationally within a modern mix of restored architecture. Between the old town and the shopping district of Nowy Swiat, you can find names like Chloe, Celine, Jimmy Choo, Yves Saint Laurent, McQueen. Do also check out the fusion menu and enjoyed a glass of chill champagne watchin the hundred year old bath.
